As the series progresses, Chi begins to have visions of another persocom who is identical to herself, and eventually learns this is Freya, her twin, and that Chi was originally called Elda; after Freya fell in love with her father and creator and had her heart broken (she couldn’t muster the courage to admit her feelings in the anime), her memories were downloaded into Chi, before her system was wiped at her own request.

The Chobits series deals with issues and ideals of virginity, and sexual intercourse in that Chi is effectively incapable of sexual intercourse (in the manga and in the series), as attempting to do so would “reset” her, so she must therefore only entrust her body to someone who cares for her well-being as opposed to a purely sexual relationship.

Haruhi Suzumiya is the title character of the Haruhi Suzumiya series, created by Nagaru Tanigawa and developed into a media franchise. First introduced in the light novels, which were then adapted into two manga and an anime series, with a forthcoming sequel, she is the main focus of the series. In an interview with Tanigawa, he stated that the idea for her character came during a sleepless night at the beginning of the 21st century.

Created by Masashi Kishimoto, Gaara is the fictional character from the Naruto manga and anime series. Gaara was designed as a foil to the series’ titular character, Naruto Uzumaki,. They were born through similar circumstances, but somehow develop vastly different personalities as they deal with their troubled upbringing.
Gaara was initially introduced as an antagonist and Naruto’s rival. Both of them eventually develop a bond as kindred spirits and become close friends as the series progresses.
