Cloud Strife is a fictional character and the main protagonist in Square’s (now Square Enix’s) role-playing game Final Fantasy VII and several of its sequels and spin-offs. His original design was created by Final Fantasy VII character designer Tetsuya Nomura.
Cloud’s appearance is marked by spikey blonde hair, vivid blue eyes, dark clothing, and his Buster Sword, which previously belonged to his friend Zack Fair. Cloud’s official seiy? is Takahiro Sakurai—with Nozomu Sasaki first voicing Cloud in the video game Ehrgeiz—and his voice actor for his English appearances is Steve Burton.

Cloud Strife is the main character of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, being the main protagonist in both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. He also appears in the spin-off games Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. In addition, he makes an appearance in Final Fantasy Tactics as a playable character earned through completing a series of side quests.
